The improved design guarantees unbeatable precision for the universal support. This forms the basis of the Tormek grinding system, as it controls all grinding devices and accessories. The previously mounted sleeves for the universal support are now integrated into the all-cast housing of this model. This innovation leads to a further increase in the precision of your grinding work.

The characteristic Tormek propulsion system has also been implemented in this new model. The efficient system maintains a constant speed even at full load - a unique feature of Tormek grinding machines. The Tormek original whetstone SG-250 grinds all types of steel, even HSS. The powerful AC motor is designed to drive the whetstone in continuous operation.

The water tank has been further improved with a spindle for easier installation. It also has a magnetic scraper with dual function; during the grinding process, the magnet collects the steel particles and after grinding, the water container can be easily cleaned with the scraper. For long tools where water can drip off outside the container area (e.g. cooking knives and planing knives), the supplied water channel can simply be placed on the edge of the water container.

Another well-thought-out detail is the stainless steel main shaft with Tormek's unique EzyLock nut. With this, the stone is set automatically and without tools with the correct torque. Thanks to EzyLock, the stone can also be easily replaced if you use the special stones SB-250 or SJ-250 from Tormek.
